This is the oldest Jewish Synagogue among all the Jewish Synagogues that exist in the Commonwealth Countries.

Palayoor 
Palayoor, near Kodungalloor in Trichur District is a Christian pilgrimage centre in connection with  St. Thomas who came to Kerala to propogate Christ's message  . The adjacent Palayoor St. Thomas Church, Thaliyakulam, Boatkulam and India Christian Historical Museum are  the major attractions here.

The place where St. Thomas landed by travelling in a boat from Muziris ,the present Kodungalloor. We can see a model of the boat in which St. Thomas traveled.
